A few weeks ago Firefox started crashing constantly. Is there anything I can do?

I know this advice is not directly helpful and a quick fix but please read it so that you understand the situation better,.
Please note this is a help forum for users and answered mostly by users.
- You will not get developer attention posting here
- Posting just to say say you have a problem similar to someone else is a waste of everyones time INSTEAD all of this action helps
- vote as a me too on the thread use the button [I have this problem too]
- submit crash reports. They may not all be empty. And a massive increase in Empty crash report may also set off alarm bells for developers
- If Firefox runs at all
(a.) Enable telemetry, because again in it provides data to developers Share data with Mozilla to help improve Firefox
(b.)Use the feedback button to send a short complaint comment
- Please take time to read my post above
- We may be able to help you but it is much much easier if you start a new thread
- that does not stop you reading advice and linked articles from this thread
- we can cross link new threads that are related
- If reproducible problems can be discovered we can file bugs or help you file bugs so that a crash problem gets developer attention
- there may well be many separate problems causing these crashes.
- we can make suggestions that will help you get crash signatures that are not empty
- Crashes that are so bad that there is an empty CrashSignature may in fact relate to an Operating System problem / crash or malware, rather than being directly a Firefox problem.

Hi twbeosl,
Please scroll through this thread and read the suggestions and linked articles they may help you.
You certainly did not post crash IDs from a safe-mode crash. You probably have unwanted extensions and possibly malware or at least adware.
Please start your own thread using /questions/new.
twbeosl please post back in this thread to confirm you have started a new thread.
Everyone
I will be locking this thread shortly so if anyone needs desperately to post in the thread after it is locked: for instance to add a solution related to a post you have already made them please pm me
Please read the posts immediately above and also this one
Aseret
- Have you solved your problem ?
- Is there anything more you would like to add or ask ?
- Or have you been forced to abandon Firefox in favour of a browser that does work ?
Note a last resort unofficial workaround to get a working Firefox quickly may be to try using Firefox portable. That may be installed as a separate additional browser. If necessary we should be able to help you migrate bookmarks etc. to the alternative browser.
I still have my problem.
I updated to the latest version of Firefox. I bought System Mechanic and scanned my hard drive.
Joe
And oh, I have no malware or adware, that is for sure.
joedallas,
I have already suggested you start your own thread (see guidelines). We have no reason to even expect your problem to relates this thread but have not even seen any Crash IDs from you.
You may wish to read any advice in this thread and the articles linked from it, then start your own thread using /questions/new. Please follow the prompts about including troubleshooting information (assuming it is not a start-up crash) and then post crash IDs in your new thread.
I am locking this thread as it is getting posts about multiple problems reported in it.
