Why can't I see or award some pictures both others and my own?
For my pictures I can see the title, description, awards, and award counts but not the picture on Firefox and in the
groups I can't see or get to the pictures to award.
This is only happening with some pictures, not all of them.
Everything is working correctly when I try Explorer and also on my lap top using Firefox.
One of the suggestions from Flickr was to update to a higher version. It is presently 3.6.23 and I can't find where to update.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
- Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
- Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
- Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
- Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain. Make sure that you do not block third-party images permissions.default.images
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
Hi
I don't believe anything is blocked. Everything shows up on Explorer and my lap top (the lap top also uses firefox). I can also award from Explorer (on my desk top) and the lap top. It is just firefox on my desk top that isn't working.
Everything was working as usual when all of a sudden a lot of the pictures were unavailable. Both other people's and my own.
I just took pictures so that you can see what I see (or don't see as the case may be) I'm sending you a link to the set I put them in. I also have comparison pictures taken on my lap top. I tried to explain what was going on in the picture in the description box.
It would make so much more sense if it were everything. (I'm glad it isn't)
Here is the link to my set http://www.flickr.com/photos/squarequilter/sets/72157627828972386/
Hope it helps and thanks for anything you can do.
Betty
Did you check that in Tools > Page Info > Media ?
The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a more modest setting of 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
If other network.http prefs show bold then reset them via the right-click context menu
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
- Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
- Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
- Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
- Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)
Hi again
I hate to be a pest and I hate feeling stupid but right now I guess I'm both.
I went into that about:config and the only pref I saw with bold type was:
pref.browser.homepage.disable_button.restore_default and to the right was User Set boolcan false
Is that what I'm supposed to click on? I'm pretty cautious about clicking.
I didn't see anything showing 200 series numbers.

Make sure that you do not type pref in the Filter bar, but only network.http
pref.xxx prefs like services.sync.prefs.* are prefs that Sync saves on the Sync server and those do not apply.
I think I finally got to the right page.
Everything there is default and nothing is bold.
The max connection was already 30.
