If anyone wants to disable the plugin container, read this: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/The%20Adobe%20Flash%20plugin%20has%20crashed#Disable_hang_protection
Note that the above referenced KB article is about disabling the timeout and not about disabling the container process. To disable the container process you need to sett all dom.ipc.plugins.enabled prefs to false.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_and_out-of-process_plugins

Same problem here. The problems started after the previous update. The problem is getting worse after Firefox updated itself a few days ago. I have 3.6.4
same problem for me!!!!!!!!
I'm having the same issue while trying to watch Hulu movies. I've tried the following:
-Uninstalling/Reinstalling latest Flash -Updating Quicktime player -Updating Java SE and RE -Increasing timestop to 30 seconds.
While it did slowly get better (finally loaded a movie on Hulu), my Flash plugin is still crashing FREQUENTLY on Hulu.com, and the overall picture quality of the videos I do get to work is horrendous. The FPS is choppy, and the picture is fuzzy. It's a far cry from what it was before the latest FF update.
We need a real fix, please!
Win 7, FF 3.6.4, Flash 10.1.53.64, Shockwave 11.5.7.609, QT 7.6.6.0
I have the SAME issue...
please fix it FF. :(
I am having the same issues. Give us our old version until you get this fixed. Signing into all my sites really sucks and doing it 5-10 times a day since the new update makes it worse....
same problem here when watching videos...crashes the the adobe palyer stuffa dn comes up with the stupid messege :( They best fix this quick!
You can disable the Plugin Container for Flash in 3.6.4 to see if that solves your crashes. Instructions for disabling it are in this posting. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/706123#threadId706192

This has to be in there new upgrade ! please fix this!!
Same problem here. Firefox keeps freezing, sometimes for 5 minutes, then either starts working again really slowly or I get the plug-in error crash. This last time I copied what windows said about the error. This is the info: Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: plugin-container.exe Application Version: 1.9.2.3814 Application Timestamp: 4c12b3be Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6002.18005 Fault Module Timestamp: 49e03821 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00048b02 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: ca4b Additional Information 2: 0db6cc4f646c2246ddf8a462e3add7af Additional Information 3: 5b21 Additional Information 4: e5b7e758762c24b02e09abea0b4585f4
Don't know what it means or if it will help solve the issue, but thought I would share it.
All I know is that I am about to do something I never thought I would, switch to Chrome.
Firefox 3.6,6 is out to increase the timeout (dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs) to 45 seconds (if you haven't changed it yourself already). So you can update Firefox to see if that helps.
Bug 574905 – Increase hang detector timeout
This is insane already if everyone here and everyone I know is having this same problem why is it not being fixed??? Everyone along with me has the crash in all games we play in FaceBook and I open my task manager to see this new thing Firefox added with last update using an average of 85% of all my power. If we can not remove it Firefox does nothing to fix it nor let us know they are even trying after swearing and telling everyone to switch to Firefox for a few years now I am leaving Firefox behind. This aggravation is not worth it, its time to switch browsers and maybe totally remove Firefox... catofmagic
