Firefox will not open websites after windows updates
Every time windows updates, Firefox will not open websites and gives Secure Connection Failed error, even website to download Firefox. Edge and Chrome open the websites fine. Last time I downloaded earlier manual install Firefox and it would open the websites fine, but it would not update when prompt came up saying update available. Windows just updated and most of the websites I need/use will not open in Firefox, even the federal government websites like USPS.com. It is getting to be too much hassle and I am considering to change main browser, even though I like Firefox (when working properly) better than the others. "Fixes" I found with internet searches do not work. Firefox was upgraded to 105.0 (64-bit), the latest version according to website. (Note: Had to download using Edge, Firefox gave Secure Connection Failed error when clicked on download button.)

Hi Steve,
Underneath the error "Secure Connection Failed" message there should be a section called "Error Code:"
Could you provide me with what that error code is? This will help us better determine what's causing this issue.
Thank you~!
For the websites that will not open, the error code listed is PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.
Some websites still open fine.
See this article (remove the blank space in the link).

Most all of the "causes" listed should have given same error before the Windows update if they were the culprit. While reviewing the info link you sent, notice of .Net framework update popped up. After the .NET framework update installed, the websites started opening properly. Thanks so much for your help!
The next time Firefox was started the websites would not open, back the the PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.
Check virtualization settings and clear the virtual cache, if your Internet security software includes this feature, or visit the software provider's support site for more help. Firefox may fail to start for some Windows users after updating, if AVG or AVAST antivirus is installed.
