The "Bookmark Current Tab" function no longer displays my bookmark folders
In the past few weeks or so, I have noticed an issue when I try to bookmark a tab.
Previously, I would click on Bookmarks, then click on Bookmark Current Tab in the dropdown menu and I would see a list of all my Bookmark folders from which I could select one.
What happens now is I click on Bookmarks, then click on Bookmark Current Tab in the dropdown menu and the dropdown menu disappears WITHOUT showing my list of folders to select from.
What the Bookmark Current tab function now does is to default to the previous folder that a tab was saved in with no option to select the folder I want.
So now, I have to go through additional steps of once again clicking on Bookmarks, then click on Edit This Bookmark in the dropdown menu, which then opens a box where I am then able to select the actual folder I want.
I'm running MacOS 11.5.2 and Firefox 92.0.
How can I resolve this issue?

The screenshots show that "Show editor when saving" doesn't have a checkmark.
The "Edit This Bookmark" dialog that opens if you click the highlighted star has a checkbox with "Show editor when saving" (shortcut key in the dialog is Alt+S). This item is at the bottom just above "Remove Bookmark" and "Done". You can click the highlighted star a second time to open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog.
