Text in input boxes is often white on white background
Since updating to macOS Big Sur, I noticed that on some websites I can't see the text I'm typing into input fields. It appears as white text on a white background, only when I select it, I can see it. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen on every website.
The problem occurs on websites when I'm using the macOS Dark Mode. But when I switch to Light Mode, the problem actually becomes worse and the address bar also becomes illegible.
I've already tried refreshing Firefox but that didn't help.

There are always issues possible when you use dark mode or modify the default colors in Options/Preferences if a webpage only specifies one of the (text and background) colors and assume that the other is what you would expect in normal mode (black text on white background).
You can check in the Inspector what CSS rules the website uses for the colors of a button or input field to see what colors they specify.
You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.
That's the weird part: the text color should be black according to CSS. The issue seems to be specific to Firefox, I don't have the same problem using Dark Mode with Safari or Chrome.
Since the problem also occurs in the Firefox UI (see the address bar example in my first post), I think the problem is somewhere else than CSS.
