Now, the website is running. But the headline isn't smoothly running. In Chrome, it's smooth.

Is it the part where, when you right-click and choose Inspect Element, it's a <marquee> tag?

That doesn't scroll smoothly for me either, it's like it moves in tiny steps.

This tag is considered to be "deprecated", meaning it is a legacy feature that is not recommended for use in current sites (MDN page). So this might not get fixed.

Are you able to access the site in other browsers, just not Firefox?

If a site is generally known to work in Firefox, these are standard suggestions to try when it stops working normally:

Double-check content blockers: Firefox's Content Blocking/Tracking Protection feature, and extensions that counter ads and tracking, may break websites that embed third party content (meaning, from a secondary server).

(A) Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the address bar, near the lock icon? More info on managing the Tracking Protection feature in this article: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop (before Firefox 70: Content Blocking).

(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix should provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you may need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.

Cache and Cookies: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

See: How to clear the Firefox cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that.

In the dialog that opens, you will see one or more matches to the current address so you can remove the site's cookies individually without affecting other sites.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Testing in Firefox's Safe Mode: In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?

In Google Chrome, it's very nicely loaded.

I loaded that website when I reinstalled Firefox. But the result is still same. I tried also enhanced tracking protection off and add-ons disabled.

One possibility is that Firefox is successfully retrieving files but for some reason the page doesn't complete layout. Another possibility is that Firefox cannot successfully retrieve files. To look at what Firefox requests and whether they succeed, you could open the Network Monitor in the lower part of the tab. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Network
  • (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Network
  • (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+e

When you reload the page, Firefox should start listing all the files it is requesting, along with information about whether the request was successful. Are there any servers that Firefox isn't able to retrieve files from?

Why the developer of Firefox can't solve this? I don't have any idea of these.

Hi Shakib, unfortunately we do not have remote assistance to see what is happening on your Firefox, so we have to ask you to look at various things to get to the bottom of the problem.

To get a clean test, perhaps you could try this:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your problem site(s).

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Apr2020, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system so we can get a clean test.

Do the problem site(s) work any better in the new profile?

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Apr2020 will remain available for future testing.)

Note: if this test changed your default profile, use the Set as Default Profile button for your regular profile to set it back to normal.

I tried in every way. Now, the website is running. But the headline isn't smoothly running. In Chrome, it's smooth. Why I'm not getting any reply?

Google Chrome also use the marquee tag. Still the problem has not been solved. I like Firefox more than Chrome. But I can't use it because of some issue like this. Please solve this bro. If I would know how to solve, I would help the Firefox team. I've found only this issue yet.

I'm wondering because I don't even get any reply.

Shakib,   may I give you a little tip ?

Don't edit (some of) your posts   -   nobody will get an email notification of editted posts.

If you want to   "bump"   your thread, then simply post something.   Anything.

At least that way people will see that your last comment wasn't posted a week ago and that it's still an unsolved problem for you.

Thanks McCoy. I think this will also bump my thread.

Does the site still not load "smoothly" for you ?

I noticed that you marked my last post as Chosen Solution;   that must have happened inadvertently, cause I definately did not solve your problem   (wish I could, though).

You can remove that mark by clicking on the   "Undo"   button.

Who knows:   maybe someone gets a   "Eureka moment" ......
