I was just browsing when a tab poped out that I won an Iphone X, completed steps till it asked me my paypal account. I am not new on webs and know that 99% of these are scam but this one was using Mozilla browser as a cover and dont know yet tbh if this was a scam or not. If it is than mozilla needs to do smthg about it as I may be one of many scamed users.

If a page is impersonating Mozilla and or the Firefox browser with icon or use of Firefox name then you can report it at https://www.mozilla.org/legal/fraud-report/

These obviosly fake "You won a insert expensive item" can popup from some Ads on some web pages and not necessarily due to malware on Windows.

If Mozilla were to by small chance do such prize offering it would be from a *.mozilla.org/* url and not on some weird url.

Mozilla does not do any so called surveys with claims that you have won or will receive insert expensive prizes like iPhones or gift cards. I have seen a case where you could get stickers from Mozilla however there was no charge.

Mozilla has done surveys over the years by way of http://qsurvey.mozilla.com which is surveygizmo.com

No, it is not from Mozilla, you can see in address bar you are on some other domain. You can try to lookup that domain in www.myip.ms to discover which hosting company is running that site, contact them in case the site is malicious.

That is an ad.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.
