How to delete over 500 replicated bookmark folders?
I imported my Chrome bookmarks. FF created a folder named 'From Google Chrome'. Now, after a couple of months, FF has replicated the folder multiple times. I have over 500 of the same folder on my bookmarks bar. I tried to delete them, but FF freezes after the 2nd deletion. I have tried to uninstall and re-install, but the bookmark folders just reappear. I tried the refresh, but the bookmark folders are still there. I have my FF sync'd so I have the same problem on all my PCs that have FF. I have now removed it as my default browser because of this.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file
- Places Maintenance: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/
If you use Sync to sync bookmarks then best is to disconnect Sync (temporarily) while performing maintenance/repair efforts to the places.sqlite database.
Ageel,
Sorry that you are having that problem. Are any other folders other than 'From Google Chrome' being duplicated? Like the Bookmarks Toolbar folder? Or any of the default bookmarks, like "Getting Started"? Or any of the "smart" folders, such as Recently Bookmarked or Most Visited?

No. The only folder being replicated is the 'From Google Chrome' folder. Thanks.
