How can I stop Mozilla from doing a rolling load of all pages of a multi-page file at specific site instead of just loading the first page?

The following issue never used to occur on Mozilla, but now it is the only browser where it happens:

On the site Imagine-Contact.com, there are many links to file pages that go on for several more pages. On every other browser, you can click these page links and they will open individually, as they should. But on Mozilla, it is impossible to access information on each individual page because the browser will do a "rolling open", opening up every successive page until it reaches the last file page -- sometimes hundreds of pages later!

Why does the only happen on Mozilla and, more importantly, how can it be stopped?

Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

I don't see that happening there.

Are you a registered user of that web site and logged in?
