Hindi fonts not rendering in html pages
Hindi fonts not rendering in when html pages are run except the mangal and devnagri font. Is that a bug or a problem which i am not able to tackle. Mozilla browser shows error in console that (font download failed or The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. downloadable font: download failed (font-family: "Kruti Dev 010" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:0): status=2147500037 source: file:///D:/epub/filename/OEBPS/Fonts/k010.otf @ file:///D:/epub/filename/OEBPS/Styles/style.css).

1. Does the HTML page specify the correct encoding, and is the file saved in that encoding? Validate your markup and stylesheet at the links below.
2. Does the stylesheet point to the correct file?
3. Is the font a Unicode font? If yes, there may be some other problem with the font file. Try using the following font generator to convert it to multiple formats.

I have validated css and html files as well. The error still occuring is that firefox is unable to fetch the font file from th e css when the path is given as.. { font-family : '"Kruti Dev 010"'; font-style : normal; src : url("../Fonts/krdv011.ttf") format("truetype"); } it is unable to read ../ ,i,e, going back one directory is not supported. It is working when the css , html and fonts are in same root directory but its not the appropriate way as it is not acording to the structure of developing epub.
Is there any other way of going back one directory in css.?

This should work when such a page is uploaded to a web server, but you aren't allowed to go back in the directory structure when you are accessing the pages locally via the file protocol.
