Restoring gmail account fails
I have been using Thunderbird successfully for many years and use the latest version on my desktop pc (Win 10, 64 bit) for various gmail en other email accounts. However, when I changed my password in Gmail, I couldn't implement this in Thunderbird and I sadly decided to delete this account, including smtp and passwords for this account and tried to set it up again. This fails I get a message that username, password or settings are wrong. Tried several times, without success. However I decided to try it out on my laptop after downloading Thunderbird and I was able to set the accounts up without any problem, went very easy, so there seems not to be an issue on the data I tried to use. So I am stuck, could it be that somewhere old imaps are blocking it, if so what could I do, if not what else is the solution? If possible like to avoid deleting Thunderbird, since I have made a lot of local files which I do not want to loose or have to recover apart from the other working email accounts. The problem solving page shows different account numbers: 2, 8, 10 and 14
account2 (none) Local Folders Geen Normaal wachtwoord account8 (pop3) pop3.telfort.nl:995 SSL/TLS Normaal wachtwoord smtp.telfort.nl:25 Geen Normaal wachtwoord true account10 (imap) imap.googlemail.com:993 SSL/TLS OAuth2 smtp.gmail.com:465 SSL/TLS OAuth2 true account14 (imap) imap.gmail.com:993 SSL/TLS OAuth2 smtp.gmail.com:465 SSL/TLS OAuth2 true
Would be pleased if someone could give advice, regards Klaas

I don't know if it matters, but I would use imap.gmail.com for account 10 to be consistent with smtp.gmail.com for the outgoing. Remove the passwords from Saved Passwords, restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth browser window when prompted.
Thank you, you are correct, it would be more logical, however, accounts 10 and 14 are Gmail accounts that are still working well. I hesitate to change these as long as the ones to be restored, also two Gmail accounts are not yet working. So the problem is not solved yet. Read something that in the past ESET was causing problems, but I use Bitdefender as virus scanner.
So, the 2 gmail accounts, 10 and 14 are working, but you can't add another 2 gmail accounts? If they work on the laptop, but not on the desktop, I would suspect Bitdefender, as it is known to cause issues:
Thank you, have deleted Bitdefender from my desktop, after restarting without this virus scanner problem still exists. When I have added the data to add the account it gives the error that some of the name, password or settings are wrong and at the same time it demands to login in Google, this shows the message to give my email and repeats it then I do but doesn't allow me to give my password (as I did on my laptop). When I try to send an email it says no authorisation for imap or smtp. It also fails to show the line: oauth://accounts.google.com (https://mail.google.com/) as it does for the existing gmail account.
