I'm unable to play videos on any website (Youtube, Facebook, Wall Street Journal, Yahoo, etc) when I'm using FireFox. I don't have this issue when I'm using Chrome or Internet Explorer. Im using Windows 10 64-bit, have bit defender installed and my video driver is up to date.

I read through all the support articles and tried the below fixes but have not been successful in fixing this problem. The only time FireFox will play a video is when it's in safe mode.

1. disabled add-in/extensions and adjust the acceleration performance setting 2. refreshing FireFox 3. Clearing cache 4. Updating video driver 5. Tried downloading the windows 10 media pack - this wasn't required.

While many websites now use HTML5, many still use flash.

Your systems details shows you do not have flash installed.

Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: Version 28.0.0.161

Thanks for the response FredMcD. However, installing Flash Player version 28.0.0.161 using both the links you provided and flash plugins didn't work for me.

As far as drivers goes, I've already checked that and it wasn't the problem either.

Do you have any other suggestions? If not, I might have to switch to a different browser.

I tried that and it didn't solve. I've read through all the articles and tried those fixes but it doesn't work. I even checked my firewall settings. It isn't the issue. I'll eventually uninstall and reinstall to see if that works.

Thanks for all the help.
