Can I download an older version that will operate with DownThemAll? Or, does Firefox have an add-on that operates the same as dTa?

If wanting to go down and use it till May, go ahead. Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.3 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page:

Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because:

52.5.3 will be updated month end for :

Last version will be around July.

Or use a Standalone Program as everyone did when there were no such thing as addons/Extensions : https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Free-Download-Manager-for-Windows/1090197761/1

What an awful attitude! I must say that the Mozilla community isn't much better than the proprietary one. A bug many of logged for Thunderbird under Mac OS X, which is quite important, was simply brushed off with "fix it yourself". Now, an major addon (and who knows how many more) is disabled, and, the attitude is "too bad". As its, thera are pages that won't behave properly under Firefax that I need to use Safari for, plus, there are "save to pdf" issues as well. But, I suppose you get what you pay for.
