Today I downloaded Firefox. In the process of learning to use it, I lost a very important file from both Safari and Firefox. Apple help has restored the file onto Safari, but it is missing from Firefox. How do I get it onto my Firefox Bookmarks File please?

You could type the address in to the address bar then save it. You could drag and drop the URL to a USB stick and then open and bookmark. You could email it to your self and open it the other computer.

Once get it there and you are complete. Open Bookmarks --> View All Bookmarks --> Import & Export --> Export as HTML As for Apple if you can do the same thing export it and to usb or.... and then import it into Firefox on Windows.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I do not run a Mac so have no idea.

What file format is it in ?

As with Firefox, bookmarks are saved in files on the left side of the screen. This is the file format that is being used. the bookmark files are exactly the same on both Safari and Firefox

No, need the actual file that puts that there and then try and desiminate it to pull the info out. if possible. What file did they work on to return that to the Mac ?
