updates to 10 and not 56
i am doing some work for the DMV updating all the previous versions of firefox to the most recent and i am continuously running into an error trying to update 10.0.2 to the most recent version. When i go to Help-About Firefox, it says that the 10.0.2 version is the latest version and that it is up to date. when i go to the website and download the installer it does the same thing. it'll install firefox but when i load it back up it's still version 10.0.2. Is there something i'm missing or something i'm forgetting to do?
Endret

If you go to www.mozilla.org, and download the newest version of Firefox and install it, do you still have issues?
The other thing I can suggest doing is uninstall Firefox first, then install the new version
yes, it downloads the installer, which I use to download firefox again. but when it's done downloading and loads back up its still version 10.0.2. I haven't tried deleting the program yet, i'll try that and update the post.
Note : you can get Firefox here : https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ USE the Full Version Installer for 56.0.2 Note if running on old computers or XP/Vista you should be using the ESR Version 52.4.1 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Firefox ESR is intended for groups who deploy and maintain the desktop environment in large organizations
Note : if you need other versions https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
Note : Firefox 56.0.2 is current release https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Full Version Installer Note : Firefox 57 Quantum release date Nov 14th https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/quantum/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.
