How/where can I install Firefox version 52.0 ?
As I understand it from browsing Mozilla Firefox sites, with my Windows XP operating system I cannot upgrade newer that Firefox version 52.0. All Mozilla Firefox upgrades I've tried downloading are newer than this. How and where can I download the Firefox version I need? When I go to any Mozilla site, I'm directed only to the download of the latest version, which Mozilla states is compatible only with Windows 7 and newer; I'm not understanding why Mozilla has no provision for downloading the Firefox version they recommend my using for the operating system I have, and which they recommend.

You need the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52 (also known as ESR).
More info: Firefox has ended support for Windows XP and Vista

When attempting to download the Firefox version 52.3, I receive the message that it's intended only for organizations and specifically stated it's not intended for individuals. Also, this 52.3 version is stated not to be compatible with Windows XP, but instead, is meant for Windows 7 (and newer). The 52.0 version is stated by Mozilla to be compatible with Windows XP, as the highest (newest) version for Windows XP, but I'm unable to locate it, even though I've found 52.1 and 52.2 (for Windows 7).
Endret
The ESR release was originally developed for large companies that wanted stability in their Firefox features to be able to better manage the installations across the business. But anyone can use it and numerous individuals do use it. Since it is the last series compatible with Windows XP and Vista, the message you got about compatibility makes no sense.
I'm going to send you a link to Firefox 45.9.0esr on the forum's private message system. Install that first, then you can update to the Firefox 52 ESR series using the internal updater.
