The error code I get on Thunderbird Startup is: Secure connection failed. An error occurred during a connection to live.messaging.com. The OCSP response contains out-of-date information. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_old_response). The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. And then there's a "Try Again" button. What's going on?

Verify your computer has the correct date and time.

My computer time is synchronized automatically with an internet connection to nist.gov.

The problem persists.

Thanks for the idea.

Best, Rainer

Then it may be a time zone problem.

Nope, I'm on EST and my computer clock is set on GMT EST

Any other suggestions?

The error message indicates a time problem. If this was a general problem with the server I suppose we'd see a whole lot more complaints here in the forum. But right now you do seem to be the only one with that problem. So it's much more likely that there's a problem with your system, even though I can't tell you anymore than already suggested.
