When I installed Firefox I imported my Favorites. Since that time I have been using Firefox as my browser and adding sites to my bookmark. I now find that my Bookmarks have not been posted in my Favorites on my computer. If I export my bookmarks as described on your site, will it duplicate all of the original listings in Favorites?

Firefox stores its bookmarks in a SQLite database file named places.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder. This database allows for multiple copies of bookmarks.

You can only create a full HTML backup that includes all current bookmarks. If you would import this HTML file in IE then you would get a full list of all the bookmarks in the file as favorites. I don't know how IE would behave and would ask to replace the current favorite if one exists because IE threats each favorite as a file on the hard drive and doesn't allow the same name more than once, so you may end up with only one copy.
