Is there any way to close just the "current tab" in firefox rather than all 3 or 4 that may be open and lose the entire web page?
If I am on a website and open a few different pages, and then decide to go back to an earlier page, or close that particular page, I get a message that says you are about to close 3 tabs or 4 tabs etc. If I only want to close the "current tab" I am on, I was able to do that with Internet Explorer. Is there any way this can be done on Firefox?

Hey BRudy,
Have you tried clicking the small X icon in the upper right corner of the Tab you are trying to close? If you click the large red X in the Firefox header, it will close the whole window, tabs included. If you just want to close the current tab, use the X associated with that tab and you should be set.
Hopefully this helps!

For more help, see the Use tabs to organize lots of websites in a single window page.
if you're using an external mouse, you should be able to middle click(scroll wheel) anywhere on the tab to close it
Tried that, but it did not work. I have a wireless mouse with center wheel, and tried to do as you said, but nothing happened. Thanks for responding though. BRudy
Worked! Thanks a lot for responding. Appreciate the help. Since I previously had internet explorer, it would give the choice of "close current tab" or close all tabs. Firefox did not. Again, thanks for your help. BRudy
Good deal.....also try right clicking on a tab and a menu should pop up for you......
