Flash plugin does not work in 7.0.1
I recently was prompted to update my Flash player and did so. Afterwards, Flash no longer worked. I get an error message saying "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. No report available." Reloading the page over and over, it never works. Does not work on any website I try with Flash.
OSX 10.7.2 Firefox 7.0.1 Using whatever is the most up to date version of Flash right now (can't figure out the version number).
I tried uninstalling Flash and re-installing, didn't help. Disabled all add-ons, restarting, no go. Tried restarting the entire system, still no go.
Works perfectly fine in Safari.

Looks like tons of people have this issue but nobody has a clue why...
What happens if you try to bypass the plugin container in Firefox for Flash in about:config?
dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.i386.flash player.plugin - try setting to false
Tried that, restarted Firefox, went to Flash site and still get "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. No report available."
Number of people with this issue is still climbing, seems to be quite the pervasive issue!
Even if a suggested solution like "change your about:config settings" works, the real issue is this: it's a bug in Firefox that needs to be fixed. I run a website for my job in which I need to place a Flash slideshow, and even if I learn some arcane trick to get my slideshow to work for me, what about my userbase who used Firefox?
I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 on a Windows 7 system with the latest Flash plugin, currently 11.0.1.152. I am attempting to use slideshows created with Visual Slideshow 1.6. They work using other browsers such as Internet Explorer, but not with Firefox. I hope this bug can be fixed soon. Thanks.
try Tools > Options > Advanced > General > (turn off) Use hardware acceleration when available
Tried it: no joy.
Even if it did work, it's not a complete solution as it would still require me to clutter up my page with instructions for other Firefox users to do the same thing. The only real solution will be if Firefox programmers figure out a bug fix and fix it.

None of the solutions provided have done anything thus far. Getting Flash to work seems like a pretty big deal, why is this not yet resolved?

Has anyone figured this problem out yet? I've tried all the fixes mentioned here with no luck!
Good morning, I confirm a big problem of firefox 7.01 or beta version 8 of firefox with flash player 10 or 11. The buttons of the most part of animations or the readers flash do not work any more or very badly. Onmouseover, effects don't work too or badly. I try version 3 to 6 of firefox and animation flash work normaly. In Internet explorer it's work too.
i try Tools > Options > Advanced > General > (turn off) Use hardware acceleration when available but it's don't work too. I think this problem is linked to some graphics cards (My PC : windows seven 64 bits and ati radeon hd 5450) because if i put parameter of my graphic card on 16 bits instead of 32 bits , it's work with firefox 7.01 or firefox 8 beta

What's happening with this issue, Flash worked for me until I updated to 7.01 then I keep getting messages that my Flash needs to be updated and when I do update to the latest version of Flash, I get the same message. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Flash works fine in IE but not in Firefox 7.01 Video Card Manufacturer : Nvidia Model : NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS Bus Type : PCI-Express Processor : GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS Converter : Integrated RAMDAC Refresh Rate (min/max) : 56/75 Hz
I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode as some have suggested and that does not fix the problem. Help
