Article - Firefox does not ask to save tabs and windows on exit - provides no solution. While closing multiple tabs "Save & quit" menu does not appear. Pls help
I have been using Firefox since long. Earlier while closing browser with multiple tabs, Save & Quit menu appeared. However, after updating the Firefox the said option is replaced with the Close Tabs menu. Thus I am unable to save the session with multiple tabs. Pls help me out. Thanks & Regards Sherkar

Firefox 4 and later versions save the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows.
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
Another possibility is to use:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
Hi, I chose "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" but still it does not restore.
I can't Restore Previous Session from history because it was greyed out. Not sure why. It was working like last week until I realized it never saves now.
Make sure that you do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the Browsing History.
- Tools > Options > Privacy: History: [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings
