Why does Firefox take too much time to load/open
I'm using a desktop with Win 10, i7, 16GB mem, 1TB hdd, hardwired internet @ 200mbps. For the past 2-3 days, when I click on the Firefox icon nothing opens for as much as 2 mins. All I get is the link in the top bar. It also happens when I try to change accounts, both using Firefox. I have absolutely no problem using Chrome to access my two accounts. If I close Firefox using the small X on the top line, next time I click on the icon what comes up is a blank page with previous sites used. When I click on one, same thing - takes forever to load/open. I uninstalled/reinstalled yesterday, no help. What do I need to do to fix it short of permanently eliminating Firefox?

Where did yo get Firefox from? Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf
Clear cache. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache
Thank you jonzn4SUSE for your reply. I downloaded Firefox from Mozilla's web page. When the problem started, I went to Help, Troubleshoot Mode and had the same thing happen there. I just now followed your link to clean the cache. Then, clicked on Firefox icon, my Facebook page opened. Switched accounts no problem - just slow. Then I wanted to switch back to the original account and same old crap - blank page and only the "dot back and forth" in the upper left block. Closed it using the small X up there and again clicked on Firefox icon and the same thing - page with various sites I'd visited and search block. Clicked on Facebook and took forever to load/open. Any other suggestions?
Well, went to Private Window. Pretty much the same. It will open but not fully load - upper left corner has location (Facebook) with the dot back and forth. Posts with picture/video, not fully loaded or viewable. When I click on log out, next window supposed to show pictures for each account. Blank. No pictures, just blank boxes with names and log in block on the right. If I click on one of the names, I have to log-in. Not sure what the problem is. Guess I'll just have to remove Firefox and stick with Chrome. Thanks for your help.
