Firefox 62 visual appearance: The active tab looks like it is _behind_ the tabs next to it.

The active one of several tabs looks like it is recessed between his neighbouring tabs. Frequently I close the tab next to it in an attempt to close the active tab. This is quite annoying, as I can not get used to it, still. I am a computer user since the early 1980s and I usually avoid such mistakes, easily. Apparently this detail of the current interface design is counterintuitive and would benefit from a gentle refinement.

However, I would like to ask for the motivation of this change in style (please excuse the wording, as I am not a native speaker of English). Probably I will get used to it if only I knew the underlying design rule.

(Firefox 62.0 with Mac OS X 10.13.6)

Hi, sorry we do not take requests for changes here. Volunteers can do nothing with them....But you can. Please go to the 3 Bar Menu --> Help --> Submit Feed Back This will be looked at be a team. There is a email address but it goes to the same place as above ( Ed).

But I have a feeling that to add that they will feel it will slow things down. But there are people like you that like colour :

There is also a Firefox Experiment that you may like to join :

These are meant for Privacy & Security and keeping things contained but it also adds color :

I hope these brighten your days and nights. Oh, almost forgot there are Themes some you can tap and preview :

There is something else called userChrome ( It has been in Firefox since before there was a Google and they stole the name/engineers) It also can add colors to things but you would have to have a interest in asking and looking for the code to copy/paste into a file in a folder. Simple

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

It would be nice to see a screenshot of that. Most of us doing support here are on Windows or Linux operating systems, few support contributors on Mac OSX, so we don't see the problems om Macs.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
