How do I eliminate indents when I forward email that has them? Chrome does this fine with the Indent Less button at the bottom. Firefox fails!
When I forward an email that I wish to clean up that has lots of indents. For example a multiple blue vertical lines on the left I try to use the "Indent Less (Ctrl [)" button by first highlighting the section that I wish to interact with. Maybe CTRL A. This process works fine in Chrome / Chromium but does not work in Firefox. It used to work in Firefox but not 100% but now isn't working at all. Hopefully you folks know about the issue and are thinking about how to fix!

You posted in the Firefox support fora queue. Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail" such as Yahoo!Mail or Gmail. You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird support queue.

Ok, I use Firefox to access gmail and Firefox fails with gmail to remove the indents where Chrome does not.
I can say that the indent button on outbound forwarded email works on Opera and Chrome. It just doesn't work or indent pictures, words, etc. in Firefox 50.1.0. I even tried a brand new installation. Often people send me stuff that has pictures etc. with those vertical blue bars on the left that I believe are tabs which I am calling an indent. I try to clean up the email before sending it out by trying to left justify everything but nothing happens in Firefox. Earlier version sort of worked partially but often hung the browser in my attempts. And yes I am using gmail web mail.
