"Open Saved Message" then "Print Preview" or "Print" shows gobbledegook (mime?) in place of body of message - bug?
V. 16.0.2. I do File -> Open Saved Message and my saved email appears fine in a new window. File-> Print Preview shows gobbledogook (encrypted? Mime?) in place of the main text of the email (the headers are all readable). If I print the email then the printout also has gobbledegook. If I forward the email to myself then open it in my Inbox, it appears correctly (no gobbledegook) in both print preview and print.

Yep I recall hearing about a bug like that. also had issues with images.
But your going to have to use a current version of Thunderbird to even get the fix when it is released. V16 is years old and no further patches will be issued for it,
