A comment, not a question
I would use Firefox more often if it didn't feature so many ads; I have Ad Block which works on Google and Internet Explorer but not on Firefox, which is a shame. The loading of the ads also slows things down; if I'm in a hurry I only use Google or Internet Explorer.

Yes, lots of websites have so many ads they take an excessive time to load. Those are not Firefox ads; Firefox only has "ads" on a couple built-in pages, not on websites.
When I look at your Question Details > More System Details, I see a Skype extension but no ad blockers. Perhaps what you used before got removed at some point? Here are links to two popular ones (I haven't tried these myself):
- Adblock Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
- uBlock Origin: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Adblock Plus {web link} Blocks annoying video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, banners and much more. Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads, and supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default (configurable).
Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon {web link} Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon extends the blocking functionality of Adblock Plus to those annoying pop-up windows that open on mouse clicks and other user actions.
