On some websites, when a company offers stores near me, they list stores near Richardson, TX. These are companies that do not ask for a zip code or city name. Is this info stored someplace in/by Firefox? How can I change this default(?) name to show my city?

This isn't something Firefox does. This is related to how the website picks up your location and what your IP address is. I suggest doing an IP address check to make sure how you're located is correct, and then contacting the respective websites to let them know the error is occurring. There are times that it may be Firefox actually causing the issue, but this is very rare, and I suggest that you check with another browser to see if you are seeing the same issue.

Thanks!
