I have imported my address books from my old computer into Thunderbird on my new computer. The empty default address books don't seem to be able to be deleted so I now have two Personal Address Books and Two Collected Addresses, the first of each is the default empty one and the second is my populated version. Thunderbird seems to point to the empty ones by default. How can I delete the empty ones so that Thunderbird defaults to my addresses.

Thanks

I do not believe you can delete the default books. i would open the imported personal book, select one contact, do a control+a to select all and drag them to the default personal book. Then delete the empty book. Then do the same for the collected books.

Thank you. Brilliant! I hadn't thought of doing it that way.

I DO NOT want the two default address books. I only need one. Or, can I change the the one I set up to be the default address book?
