Since updating Foxfire I keep getting this error message in Twitter over and over -

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

Script: https://abs.twimg.com/c/swift/en/init.4f6d96bbd8b661c6dd684766c1e216c6f64bc8e8.js:311

I already did a reset and it didn't help.

(Also, when I haven't logged into to Help for awhile, it never takes my login info and I always have to reset it. Why?)

Now I'm getting the same type of scripting error messages with WellsFargo.com

This is very annoying. Anyway to stop this? Even when I click "Don't show me this message again" I still keep getting the errors. Besides, not showing the message does not keep the page from freezing up.

Can I roll back to my previous version of Firefox?

  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
