On Reply the Sender is wrong - not the original recipient
I upgraded from version 25 to the newest 31 and I am experiencing some change (feature) that is really annoying - I hope there is a way to configure this away: I am using many email accounts (mostly gmail and google apps) that I get into TB via pop3. Before I upgraded (on windows 7) when I replied to a message that reply's sender was the original recipient, so I typed my reply, hit send and was done. Now, after upgrading to windows 8 and the latest TB, when I reply to a message the sender of that reply is set to the (dummy) email associated with local folder (I am sending all received mail to Local folder). That means I always have to select the correct Sender of this reply. Is there a way to configure this or will I have to downgrade to 25? Thank you, Gunter

try restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu and see if that changes anything.
Thanks for the reply, Matt!
unfortunately running TB in safe mode does not make a difference. Wondering if this is actually working right for you, in other words, if there is just the few of us with that problem.

works fine for me, hence making a suggestion as to a possible cause. I click reply and either the sender or the address set in the mail reply to is used.
I just checked again using the mail I got from the forum and it replied to [email protected] which is the reply-to set by those mails.
I have been having no issues at all with auto insertion of the from into the to when I click reply. The just a few I am aware of is just you.
Oh, I see - the recipient of the reply is done correctly for me too - what's wrong is the sender of the reply: Say I have two email accounts in TB: [email protected] and [email protected] and the local mail box has (for earlier testing reasons only) an email of [email protected] set. All incoming emails go into the local set of folders. Now [email protected] gets an email from [email protected] and that mail is in the Local Folder Inbox. When I open it and type reply the recipient of that reply is set (correctly) to [email protected] but the sender is [email protected] and not as it did in my old version 25 of TB as [email protected].
I had to bite the bullet today as this was so annoying - I replied to a mail and pretty much ALWAYS forgot to set my usual email as the sender for that reply and - bang - got an error on sending because the sender was the Local Mailbox which had no smtp set. The bullet I bit was downgrading to TB 24 - that's what I still had downloaded. I will miss the more modern look of the latest version and whatever there might be better (hadn't noticed anything though) and will have to watch that I don't update any more :-(
