how to sync firefox on my pc with my laptop
I am trying to sync the bookmarks, tabs, etc. on my Vista PC with my Windows 7 laptop. Both computers are running the most current version of mozilla firefox. When I go to Tools>Options>Sync from firefox on both my PC and laptop, it opens the dialog box that shows my account is open and connceted. In the "Device Name" bar, I have entered the name I have given each device. I don't know if this is correct or not. I have never seen "Pair a Device" on either computer, even using the steps given by mozilla when I did a search on how to sync computers. How do I get the information on my PC to sync with the laptop? I have tried using the instructions within mozilla, but something isn't working right. Please help.

"Pair a Device" is an old feature that was used prior to the Firefox 29 version.
Were you using Sync with Firefox 28 or earlier? If so, did you update your Sync account? See this KB article - Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more That would need to be done on all devices that were using the previous version of Sync.
Now, if you want to add a new device to your updated Sync account, all you need to do is to click Sign In on the Tools > Options --> Sync tab. Then you be on about:accounts?action=signin an internal page; fill out your Email (Account Username) and the Password, then hit the SIgn in button.
