I really don't like the new Australis interface theme. How can I configure it to provide me with separate back and forward buttons (that I can reposition) and how can I get my tabs back where I want them on the bottom, not the top, of the toolbars?

Take a look here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/997039 It has the add ons you want and they work in FF 29. At least they do for my FF29 :)

Thanks mluna and meegja.

The solution (for me) was to install "Classic Theme Restorer", mentioned in the thread that mluna pointed me at. I now have tabs on the bottom again, and separate buttons for stop / reload / back & forward. Oddly, back and forward buttons have to be moved around as a pair, but that's not a problem for me.

I also added the "Downloads Window" add-on mentioned in meegja's thread - I'd not noticed that had gone away, but would have really missed it when I noticed, so good to get that fixed at the same time.

I do wonder why someone had to create add-ons to do this rather than making it all customisable from the preferences or about:config page though. Seems like a weird decision on the part of the UI people.
