No there have never worked on the computer. And not I have not recently upgraded to the new version. If i upgrade will my bookmarks be ther. Or will I have to start all over again. When I remove the old version. Thank you

I am not sure what an extension is. And and add on either. Sorry some times very computer illiterate.

Oh and I can not get to solution. It just keeps bring back to your text.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
