Why isn't VTzilla available on mozilla.org?
VTzilla is a add on from Virus Total at virustotal.com this site provides security scans for files and URLs to let you know if its a safe site and if a file you downloaded or are about to download is infected Virus Total will let you know with up two 44 different venders which is very useful against infections you see the VTzilla extension easily allows you to scan the website your on just watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV28_hKWFuo and usually it will also give a file analysis report as well I would love to see this extension on mozilla.org that way more people could discover it after all it ads extra security to Firefox just like Web of Trust does especially when the two are paired together and FYI the next best thing VTzilla is the Virus Total Hash though its kind of cheap and its not even an extension but its better than nothing. One other thing VTzilla version 1.1 isn't compatible with Firefox version 8.

Actually they finely did https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/vtzilla/ and its official I contacted Virus Total and they told me yes its the real VTzilla made by Emiliano Martínez Contreras so if you already have VTzilla would you please do a review of it to let others know its safe.

Virus Total evidently hasn't placed that extension on the Addons.Mozilla.Org website. You may want to contact Virus Total and suggest they create a developers account and upload it to the official addons website.
As far as compatibility with Firefox 8, the install.rdf file is set up for Firefox 7 as the maxVersion, but that extension does make use of a secure updateURL so that Firefox can look for and download an update for that extension when a new version of Firefox is released.

It hasn't been changed for Firefox 8 yet, so somebody at Virus Total is "asleep at the switch".
