Using the default font, type in Firefox seems so light. Even when I override the font with another, the font seems broken up, not solid. Any ideas for making the fonts as clear as IE's?

Chosen solution

You can enable ClearType system wide for all programs to make other programs like Firefox use it.

XP: Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects: "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"

ClearType system wide will solve my Firefox issue but will blur the fonts on the rest of application.

I tried to sharp image from display settings but it looks awfull....don't understand why ClearType addon that use to apply only for Firefox fonts was removed and it works only for Firefox 2.0 :( Don't understand also why that function was not implemented "by default" on Firefox 3.6.x

See if this helps: Tools > Options > Content > Colors > remove the check mark from “Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above” > OK > OK.
