Thunderbird inbox email limit

Thunderbird is limiting the number of emails in my inbox to 10,000. How can I change it so all my emails appear in my inbox? I've never had this issue in the past, as all my emails have always appeared in my inbox. This is something new. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there didibonoo4 We have read your message We try to help you.

Oké the limit is reached. Where are the messages now? In the subfolder.

The limit per folder was abolished a long time ago .

The system that you use can be old fashion but the apps that you use are from this time.

The Thunderbird software uses a continuous folder-to-folder transition for email storage. Seems like you are out of ram? Or disk space.

Your provider can change your limit. Thunderbird will only pass on their message.

Greetings firefoxvolunteer.

I am not out of RAM or disk space since my computer is new. The issue could be the latest software release because up until the 91.0 release, I was able to view 100% of my emails in my inbox. Now, it is limiting the number of emails to exactly 10,000.

does you mail provider have some sort of limits like gmail does?

Thunderbird has no limits other than available disk space and memory.

No, my mail provider (AOL) has no limits. When I log into my AOL account directly via the AOL website, the inbox contains every email, whereas Thunderbird is limiting the number of emails to 10,000. And I have no issues with disk space or memory.

That would be an incorrect statement. It may have once been true. Possibly linked to AOL now being Yahoo. Problem solved:

see AOLhelp page https://help.aol.com/articles/download-your-email-from-aol-mail-with-imap

change inbox server to export.imap.aol.com

and all 10,000+++ emails are there

when you change back to imap.aol.com you will see again only 10,000 emails
