Restore to Earlier Version after Loss of CardBook with Version 91.0.1
I had ver. 78.13.0 and was using CardBook so that I could sych contacts with Google Contacts. I see after updating to ver. 91.0.1 that this capability is gone. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to go back to ver. 78.13.0? Can someone suggest a general method to do this? I'm wondering about such questions as should I delete TBird 91.0.1 first and then download 78.13.0 or leave it in place. Also I see sites such as neowin.net have the 78.13.0 available for download but is this the best way to do it? Safe?
Thanks.

No version of CardBook before v. 70 will work in TB 91. Remove the current version and install v. 70.9 in TB 91.

Have you tried https://gitlab.com/CardBook/CardBook/-/issues/1292 ?
You could try CardBook 70.9, or add the Google Address Book from File/New/CardDAV Address Book... with this location:
https://www.googleapis.com/carddav/v1/principals/yourname@gmail.com/lists/default/
Either method is probably easier than reverting to 78.
Thanks for both responses. However, both suggest updating to Cardbook ver. 70.9. Tbird had been using Cardbook ver. 55.2. I question whether updating Cardbook has any chance of success based on a statement found on this path after the update: Tools>preferences>add-ons: "Cardbook (disabled) Cardbook is incompatible with Thunderbird 91.0.1" If Cardbook is incompatible it would seem that there is no version that will work.

Updated to Cardbook v. 70.9 and now my Tbird contacts are again syncing with Google. Works great!! Thanks much.
