Moving folder with sub-folders and emails
I have lost a folder with a a lot of sub-folders and all their associated email messages. The rest of my TB installation is fine, it is just this one folder that has gone missing. I haven't referenced these messages in a long time and didn't notice it was missing. I had a major email problem earlier this year and uninstalled and re-installed TB multiple times so I might have caused the problem without noticing it.
I installed TB on another computer (32 bit) and loaded an old MOZ backup from a few months ago and the folders and emails are there. I just installed the Import-Export add on but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to move the folder, subs and messages in one go or I am missing something.
BTW I tried the Save As to a file option but my 'file' setting is grayed out and can't be selected.
How can I transfer the folders + messages I need from the old backup to my main computer?
Thanks

First let's check to see if it is simple case of there being a missing mbox file.
I'm assuming this is a POP mail account in which case do the following, so tell me if not POP. I would need to see what you currently have got stored in the profile to understand what is going on.
In Thunderbird
- Help > Troubleshooting Information
- click on 'Open Folder' button
a new window opens showing the contents of your 'profile name' folder.
- click on 'Mail' folder
- click on the pop mail account name folder to see contents.
Make sure the window is big enough to show as many files and folders as possible.
- Post an image(s) showing the entire contents of the 'pop mail account name' folder.
If you see a folder with a missing folder name.sbd extension which has same name as the missing folder:
- Click on the *.sbd folder to see contents.
- Does it list files that seem to have same names as the missing subfolders?
- Post an image(s) showing the entire contents of the .sbd folder(s).
Tell me the name of the missing folder that contains all the missing subfolders.
