When I restart Firefox, only the last window and its tabs are remembered. If I had multiple windows with tabs open, they are lost. I wish my TabMixPlus back.

Make sure to use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar. Otherwise only the last closed window is restored.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

x on top right used to work as intended, even without tabmixplus, why is everything becoming increasingly unintuitive.

on a side note: i am not sure if i should mark this as helpful/not/at all. yes, you tried to help, and thanks for that, but that's like getting "try oranges" as answer to "why does my apple taste bad recently?"

Hi,

Would you please take a look at this article, just in case there is something you may have overlooked  ?

See especially the section Troubleshooting

Any good  ?

The close X on the title bar only closes this one window. This counts as a recently closed window. and won't be restored on the next start. Only when you close Firefox like I posted above you will get all windows that were open on the next start. This has always worked that way.
