Hello, I have been using Firefox as my main browser for years. Today I had to install the new version to install a program for a video interview and I did that on an application I called FIREFOX 2. I closed the old version with all my history and bookmarked sites, and password, and logins, and accounts. I also had a very important ongoing session and thought I could just reopen the app and as I always do select RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION. Now it seems like I have lost everything, I open firefox and it looks like it's something I ve never used before, although right now I'm using the old version 49.0.1. How do I solve this how do I get my open tabs back, my history, my bookmarked websites....

Instead of downloading the full installer, just use the built in-updater to install the latest version of Firefox (58.0.2). You shouldn't continue to use old versions as they are insecure and have known issues.

Update Firefox to the latest release
