I'd like to have two completely independent instances of Firefox on the same system. How can this be done?

Hi dsagiajhpi4wn.

It can be easily achieved using Firefox profiles. They are very powerful and you can run Firefox multiple times with different profiles using -p and -no-remote arguments as shown in this article.

The second possibility is to install and run Portable Firefox. It can be installed on local drive as well as on a flash drive.

The basics have remained the same for thirteen years with this browser. Separate install folders and separate Profiles for each.

Do not use the -no-remote switch with default Profile and the -no-remote remote is only needed for another Profile use if you are to run say two different builds at same time. As one cannot run multiple instances on same Profile.
