If I close FF with tabs open, it reopens next time with those tabs instead of a blank page. How can I stop this and have FF open with a blank page and not save my session?
I have changed all the options many times in both session manager and tabs mix plus. I have even reinstalled FF. With FF3.6 I could close FF with tabs still open and next time I started FF I would have a blank page. This simply will not happen with FF4 unless I close all the tabs first then exit. Obviously I am missing something or configuring it wrong.

Have you changed the setting in the Options window?
- In the Tools menu select Option (or if using the new UI, click the Firefox button and then select Options)
- In the Options window, select the General panel
- Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show a blank page"
TonyE: Yes I have changed it to show a blank page. Hence why it is doing my head in.
I have also configured it to show a blank page in tab mix plus to no avail.

Try deleting the files that store details of sessions, this may help if one of those files is corrupt.
- Open your profile folder, for details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
- Close Firefox
- Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak if it exists. For Tab Mix Plus sessions delete session.rdf
I have done that too with no success. This is why it is alluding me what the issue is. Thanks for the help though, it is appreciated.
Are you using the TMP Session Manager or the Firefox Session Manager ?
Also make sure that Firefox closes properly.
See "Hang at exit":

cor-el: I have tried using both the TMP and FF session managers.
It's quite frustrating.
For years I have just exited FF without closing tabs and next time I open FF it't to a blank page, how I like it. Because of this issue I am having to train myself to close down all tabs before I exit so I can start with a blank page. aarrgggg.
