New msn.com problem in Firefox
msn.com will no longer allow any of my browser extensions to block display of the home page search box and other items on that same horizontal level in Firefox. The tools to select elements to block only select the entire page. In IceDragon, I can still block individual elements. I complained to msn about that.

I apologize for wasting everyone's time. I cleared all my cookies and site data and now msn.com is back to normal with the extensions working as they should. Thanks again!

Is there a reason for the old version of Firefox?

I am using the latest version of Firefox - always.
Your User Agent shows: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0
version 65
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
What does it say about your current Firefox?

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check ‘’’Resist Fingerprinting’’’
on the ‘’’about:config’’’ page as this affects the user agent?
- privacy.resistFingerprinting = false

’’’Avast AntiTrack’’’ is also known to cause this issue.
I don't think MSN is going to be sympathetic to complaints that you can't freely modify its pages...
Which extension do you use to hide elements? You could ask on their forum if there is a specific filter you need to add/install if clicking isn't working.
My current User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
Thanks to you all for trying to help, but the problem is that I get very lost when trying to follow all these instructions. I did NOTHING but close Firefox and then the next time I opened it, the msn.com home page looked different. The area in the small screenshot (this should not appear) was not there before I closed Firefox but it was there after. I do not like that it takes up space on the home page. When I want to search for something I open a new tab and use the search there.
I use any one of three add-ons to remove areas on the screen that I don't want to see: uBlock Origin (normally) or I have also used AdBlocker Ultimate and I think another version of AdBlocker. NONE of them work like they used to. Now when I try to select an element on the page in Firefox on MSN the entire page is the only thing I can select, as in the big attachment image (Entire Screen or nothing).
The problem does not exist in Comodo IceDragon, Edge or Chrome, but I much prefer, or used to prefer Firefox.
Sorry, the screenshots are not uploading... WTF
OK, this time the screenshots uploaded.

I can't explain why the click-to-select isn't working for you, but this one isn't as simple to solve. I'm attaching a screenshot but in short, hiding the <div class="head"> leaves a blank space unless you ALSO zero out the top margin of the <div id="maincontent">. So I think you need a hand-written filter statement for this page.
The uBlock Origin subreddit is a good place to get help with that if one of this forum's support volunteers isn't familiar with the details: https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/
You also can apply more complicated style rules to a page using the Stylus extension. If you want to try that, let me know and I'll document the steps, but if you don't need to learn a new add-on for this, that's probably preferable!
