When I first re-installed the TBird with the new version of the Profile structure I wasn't able to get connected to a working profile because it was asking for a password that I never knew about. I used a Mozilla password that I knew of and it attempted for many hours to connect but would not. I then closed that instance of TBird and re-opend TBird and this is where it is now. No menus, no nothing. What do I do to get my Thunderbird back?

I'm running WIN 10 and using the Comcast mail server so I assume that all my email, unless I've deleted it, is still on their server?

Or is it beyond salvage and should I start looking for another email app?

I have no idea what that means. Please explain in more detail what you did.

it was asking for a password that I never knew about.

You probably told Thunderbird to remember your account password and forgot about it. Since you were able to access the account you must have known the password at some point though.

I used a Mozilla password

There is no Mozilla password. Neither Thunderbird nor Mozilla are an email provider. You do have an account with your email provider (Comcast), and you do need a password to access your account on the Comcast server. Whether this happens using Thunderbird or e.g. webmail doesn't matter.
