Old computer died. I had computer repair guy back up my Thunderbird profile on external harddrive. Got a new computer set up with Thunderbird and it received messages from the day I set it up. Problem is that my new profile has no addresses or previous messages. I try to import, copy, merge my old profile, including MAB file, but it doesn't read. I even tried converting a few old MAB addresses to Outlook and imported them and THEY don't show up. Can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

Finally figured it out. Got the addresses in just fine. Now the question is, can I use that same add-on to get my old emails from the old profile onto my new computer? If so, what path do I sue to do so. Thanks! LK

I found another add-on which was able to help with getting the emails over. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Merge_Profiles After finally figuring out how to get the add-on downloaded and into Thunderbird, I followed directions and was able to get all old files into my new profile.
