First time using Firefox. How do I get my email. I see nothing to click on for that, so I've been going to back to AOL for it.

Pretty much computer illiterate here. Have been using Google Chrome and had my AOL email link right there. I just downloaded Firefox and don't know how to get my email, other than doing a search for AOL. Is there a way of setting it up on my home page, so I don't have to put it in bookmarks, to click on the link. Thanks, BJ

Firefox does have a page similar to the Google Chrome home page. If you open a new tab (Ctrl+t or click the + button on the tab bar), Firefox displays a page with a search bar and thumbnails from your history plus, if you haven't visited a lot of sites yet, some suggested sites.

You can customize the page by locking sites you've visited to a particular position, or dragging a bookmark into the page.

This page has the internal address about:newtab so if you wanted to have this as your startup page, you could make it your home page.

Hi BJ, , there isn't a way to add bookmarks into Firefox's standard built-in home page. Some other ideas:

(1) If you want to access an AOL Mail bookmark more conveniently, make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is displayed. To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there, either:

To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.

To add AOL Mail or another site to the bar, when you are on that site, click the little circled "i" icon at the left end of the address bar and drag it to the Bookmarks Toolbar and release it there. To shorten the name, if it's too long, right-click the bookmark and choose Properties.

(2) If you plan to go to AOL immediately when you start Firefox, you could switch your home page to AOL. This article describes how you can change your home page:

How to set the home page

(3) There are add-ons you can use to replace your home page with something more customizable. This kind of add-on often is called a "speed dial page" because you can add a lot of one-click buttons to go to your favorite sites. I don't know which one would work best for you, I have tried any of them myself.
