I am using FF v7.0 on a Mac (10.6.8). I would like to avoid using Adobe software if possible, so I would like to set FF to default to a HTML5 player when HTML5 content is available rather than the Flash player and only use the Flash player when necessary. Thanks! Oak

Firefox should already do that if the website is using a video tag and has the proper choices for source files in the right order. If the side uses a Flash player exclusively then you can't default to the build-in HTML5 player.

Cor-el, Thanks for your helpful reply. Is there a place in FF that I can go to see which video player is in use at a particular time? Thanks again, OakFreed

Not that I know of. You can right-click the player on the web page to see if a specific player is used.

Cor-el, I will do that. Your help is much appreciated. OakFreed
