When I try to upgrade to the 3.6.11, I get a popup that tells me my computor needs to be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of firefox. Then I have the choice of yes or no. If I click no then everything stops and the windows close. If I click yes and reboot I get the message again when I download the upgrade.

I am also unable to uninstall the 3.6 .8 I am using now. I get the same message and cannot go any further.

This error message can be caused if security software is preventing the Firefox updater from deleting/replacing files or folders in the Firefox installation directory.

A workaround is to manually remove the Firefox installation directory (default location C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and then install Firefox again. This will not remove your bookmarks, passwords etc which are stored elsewhere.
