For example, http://www.bpwcal.org looks fine in Explorer but in Firefox 3.6.10 the background color and/or image does not load. I did not have this problem in previous versions of Firefox.

Checked all these and still did not solve the problem.

Seems like clearning the cache under "Details" fixed the problem.

Does clearing the cache help once again?

Do you have extensions that can block background images?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

"Use about:config to make sure that the preference network.http.sendRefererHeader is set to "2" (default) and reset, if necessary. " This was my solution! When installing the new version Firefox probably changed accidentally this setting. Anyway, some sites displayed the images, but my own site did not, so I had to figure out why...

I have had this problem when viewing my own website ww.sohos.co.uk using Firefox

The solution was provided in this link;

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Websites+look+wrong?s=can+not+view+website+properly&as=s

This has solved the problem on my pc but for the thousands of customers that visit my site and use Firefox unless they apply the fix they will have the same problem. My takings are down and I believe that this is partly responsible. Does anyone else have this problem and any ideas?

It seems a tall order to expect millions of Firefox users to apply the fix when it only affects a few websites. They just won't visit those websites again.

Rant over!

Visitors won't have that problem unless they have make changes to default settings.
Any changes made by others on their own computers can cause problems and they have to revert those changes themselves to fix it.

What had been changed in your case?
